About

Welcome to a school district with eyes on the future of our children, families, and community!

Our Shared Vision, Mission, and Student Outcomes are focused on nurturing the individual learner through the 4 A’s of Academics, the Arts, Athletics, and Activities and the 4 C’s of 21st century learning – Critical Thinking, Creativity, Collaboration/Communication, and Citizenship.  From the earliest learners at Franklin Early Childhood Center to the graduates of George W. Hewlett High School, our commitment to our students is to educate the WHOLE child each and every day!

In a partnership with parents and community, Hewlett-Woodmere Public Schools is a hub of shared learning and community enterprise. We teach all of our students to think creatively, to ask the tough questions, to delve deeply into research utilizing the latest technology, to communicate in a variety of media, and to collaborate with peers and adults. We go beyond mandated curriculum to develop each student’s individual academic, artistic, and athletic potential. Students are further enriched through a variety of activities and experiences.  They are given ample opportunities to practice being productive and contributing citizens of their schools, community, and the world.   We invite you to get to know HWPS.

We are Educating the Future...for the Future!
