The Beacon Veteran Alliance (VFW, Am Legion, Marine Corps League, Guardian Revival and Nam Knights) are conducting Memorial Day services - plus. Beginning at 1000 at the E. Main St bridge to honor the Veterans who were lost at sea.

1100 Memorial ceremony in front of the Veterans Memorial Bldg, 413 Main St. Beacon

1200 Raising of colors to full staff during which the Old Rhinebeck Aerodrome with conduct a multi-plane flyover. Followed by the opening of the building corner to commemorate the building's 100th year anniversary. Time capsule will be opened and items displayed.

Additionally we will be dedicating the area in front of our building as Peattie Square in honor of 1st Lt. Francis Peattie who was shot down and killed in the Pacific during WW!!. He received two Silver Stars among other personal awards.
