The Children’s Museum of Science and Technology is designed to spark young imaginations. Each week brings a new creative event, like this week’s exploration of STEAM on Friday, Feb 22. Ideal for ages 2-6, this event is included in the museum’s general admission.
Most locals don’t realize the impact that bridges had on the development of Troy and Rensselaer County, but the Rensselaer County Historical Society is bringing this little slice of NY history to life. This new exhibit debuts Friday, Feb. 22, and showcases the many bridges in the area that fuses Troy with the other side of the Hudson River and the role they played in shaping the county.
This monthly culture and arts event is the best way to explore your city by foot. Starting at 5 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 22, visitors can get to know what makes Troy such a great place to work and live. You may even find some local restaurants and businesses you never knew existed! Expect no shortage of live music, art events, vendors, and boutiques, all decked in the month’s Winter Lumify theme. This event is free and open to all.

Take a trip back in time (almost 100 years!) this Friday, Feb. 22, to explore the sounds and delights of the Roaring 20s. Troy Savings Bank Music Hall is hosting this throwback event featuring a full band playing hits the music scene hasn’t heard in decades. Don your best Gatsby-inspired ensemble and plan for an evening on the town. Tickets start at just $34.50, with premium seating and VIP packages available.
Dutch influences reign supreme throughout New York, and now they’re coming to the Children’s Museum of Science and Technology. This event tells the tales of the early Dutch settlers and includes an opportunity for kids to decorate their own tile in their own style. This event is included with museum admission.
