Beautiful scenery historic site worthwhile to visit. Nice and peaceful place to walk around and the view is breathtaking. You can bring your loved one since this is a nice place for romantic escape. You can also bring your kids since there is an insterting educational planetarium. The boat house was under renovation during our visit. Hope now it is open and we like to visit again.

Had a great day with the family here. It was a beautiful day to walk around the grounds, and everything is all in same area, parking is right there also. Planetarium was a cool experience and just a great place for good wholesome family time.

This was the worst place to host an event!!! Do not host or inquire events over here because they will tell you one thing and do something totally different! They also don’t work together very well because the employees talk about each other during consultations. I went their with my significant other and one of the lady’s was venting how they lowered her position. This shows how unprofessional they are!!!! I hope this review helps anyone condiering here for an event. I don’t want anyone to have an disorganized event like I did. It was very sad and traumatizing to say the least

The planetarium is great for younger kids and toddlers unfortunately to visit the planetarium you have to pay for the Museum tour also. You just can't pay for the planetarium only sounds like someone is taking more money from you. You have to pay for both even if you just want the planetarium only, and pricing posted at the planetarium is very unclear, be careful!!

The Vanderbilt Museum was very accommodating when we filmed one of our client's weddings there in June. They allowed us to utilize all of the locations where we wanted to capture shots. The gardens there are beautiful (Created by Carlstrom Landscapes; Caitlin Carlstrom) and the backgrounds were so amazing!! Highly recommended venue for weddings and special events!
