“The Suffolk County Vanderbilt Museum a unique combination of mansion, marine and natural history museum, planetarium and park is dedicated to the education and enjoyment of the people of Long Island and beyond. Beautiful scenery historic site worthwhile to visit. Nice and peaceful place to walk around and the view is breathtaking. You can bring your loved one since this is a nice place for romantic escape. You can also bring your kids since there is an insterting educational planetarium. The boat house was under renovation during our visit. Hope now it is open and we like to visit again.

I just love how beautiful and emblematic the mansion looks. The museum also offers very interesting facts about the people who lived there. I have been there several times and I never get tired of the amazing views this place has to offer. I just wish they had a longer schedule than they currently do have. other than that I think it is worth it to have a look at the past through the mansion and its surroundings.

This is a very nice museum. Some areas might be creepy to some (old buildings, dead fish in jars, shrunken heads), but for most people, it should be fine. It also has a brand new planetarium. This is really cool. I liked the Long Island Skies show.

Love taking my wife to this place and love the fact they use sacred gardens for their gardens.
