The Merry-Go-Round Playhouse is comprised of two separate creative entities: the Merry-Go-Round Playhouse Musical Theatre and the Merry-Go-Round Youth Theatre.
The Merry-Go-Round Musical Theatre, known as "Broadway in the Finger Lakes," produces a season of six large scale musical performances in the historic carousel building in Emerson Park on Owasco Lake during the summer and fall.
The Playhouse's Youth Theatre tours state wide with a curriculum-based theatre performances and workshop series for youth during the school year and a family oriented performance during the summer.
The mission of the Merry-Go-Round Playhouse is to enrich, through the arts, the lives of all residents of the state of New York.
