Eastline Theater is a 42-seat black-box, not-for-profit theater located in Wantagh, NY. Under the Executive Artistic direction and vision of Daniel Higgins, Eastline is known for staging innovative productions and its commitment to bringing audiences stimulating and challenging plays rarely seen in Long Island. In each of its seasons, Eastline Theatre remains dedicated to its mission of producing the most groundbreaking theater in Long Island and does so through the production of its “Mainstage Shows” and its even more innovative “Spotlight Series”. Eastline has delivered a number of Broadway level productions and often produces the Long Island regional premiers of shows like the Tony Award winning play, “Oslo”. In 2018, Eastline will produce its first original work “Prospero Live”, a musical adaptation based on Shakespeare’s “The Tempest”.
With dynamic stagecraft and uncompromising artistic integrity, Eastline is committed to pushing out the wings that often confine the stages of community theater to the usual, safe and expected fare. In our intimate black-box space, we dare to reinvent the classics, explore modern plays through a new prism, and bring original works to the attention of our community. We challenge our audiences and artists to step outside their comfort zones and be transformed through a truly unique theater experience.
