The mission of Arts Gowanus is to nurture the vibrant creativity in the Gowanus neighborhood, working for a thriving, supportive, and affordable creative community.
To do this, we nurture relationships between individual artists, arts organizations, and the broader non-art-focused community:
-- Arts Gowanus organizes the Gowanus Open Studios event annually in October.
-- Arts Gowanus cultivates supportive artist-to-artist relationships through monthly networking and business meetings, a workshop series [link to GOS 2013 Authentic Marketing Series - coming soon], and artistic collaborations.
-- Arts Gowanus connects artists to the greater Gowanus community through art events, business-artist collaborations, and community service.
-- Arts Gowanus connects the world to the Gowanus community by organizing events to promote the arts in Gowanus and through sharing and promoting arts activities that are being organized by Gowanus artists and organizations.
