5. Macy’s Fourth of July Fireworks, New York, NY

Macy’s hosts its annual fireworks spectacular over the East River, where spectators can enjoy the show from both Manhattan and Brooklyn. Many people view the fireworks from boats, helicopters, and the Brooklyn Bridge. 

6. 4th of July Fireworks Spectacular, Highland, NY

From 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. on July 4, the beautiful Walkway over the Hudson allows ticketholders to watch a glorious firework display over the Hudson River with prime seating. You can buy tickets at Adam’s Fairacre Farms, Pomod’oro Pizzeria Cafe, and Walkway Pavilions.

7. Lake Placid Fourth of July Parade, Lake Placid, NY

Visitors from near and far gather for Lake Placid’s Fourth of July Gala Parade. After the parade and free children’s jazz concert in Mid’s Park, the town sponsors live music in Mid’s Park and fireworks over Mirror Lake.

8. An Old-Fashioned Independence Day, Germantown, NY

Reenactments and period entertainment put you in the spirit of 18th century American Independence. Families will enjoy a day of arts and crafts, live music, and tasty food that ends with fireworks over the Hudson River.

9. Jones Beach Fireworks Spectacular, Wantagh, NY

If you want to catch an amazing firework show on the beach, The Jones Beach Fireworks show is not to be missed. Just bring your friends, your blanket, and one alcoholic beverage per adult and enjoy the fireworks as they light up the sky.

10. Best 4th in the North Celebration, Ticonderoga, NY

The Best 4th in the North is an all-weekend-long summer celebration that includes farmers markets, fair rides, firefighter competitions, performances, dance parties, and a grand fireworks display at dusk.
