Blackbird Film Festival

The 2023 Blackbird Film Festival features 95+ films organized into 11 unique SCREENING BLOCKS curated around themes, stories and styles. Each screening block is approximately 70 minutes and typically includes 6 - 8 short films ranging from 1 to 30 minutes. Each block will screen in the Brown Auditorium Theater on SUNY Cortland's campus.

Schedule:

8:00 AM: Café Meet Up - BRU64

Start your morning off right with some fresh coffee from BRU64 - Cortland's very best cafe - and get to know the visiting filmmakers!

9:00 AM: Filmmaker Adventure - BRU64

Filmmakers and VIP guests are invited on a Cortland adventure tour, covering all the sights and exploring some of the beauty central New York has to offer! Bus departs from BRU 64 promptly at 9:30am!

11:30 AM EDT: Film Trivia Lunchathon - Hollywood Restaurant

Whether you're a movie buff or just like lunch, join Blackbird for some Film Trivia at the Hollywood Restaurant! Full lunch menu and bar available for purchase.

Join Blackbird for a guided painting class and enjoy a glass of wine or beer while creating a unique film themed piece of art! Ticket Required ($25)

9:30 PM: Stranger Danger - Brown Auditorium Theater

Unfortunately, it seems many of the protagonists in this collection of twisty films missed that lesson in school about never trusting strangers... Whoops!
