Annual Easter Egg Hunt

Egg-stra, Egg-stra! Read all about it!!  The City of Long Beach Department of Parks and Recreation’s Annual Easter Egg Hunt will take place this year on Saturday, April 1, 2023.  This event, presented by East End Volleyball is for Long Beach Residents and School District Residents only and requires in-person, advanced registration at the Long Beach Recreation Center lobby.  There will be NO day-of registration.  Register early as space is limited.  

This hunt is for children ages 7 and includes a special needs category.  The special needs category is for children that need assistance from a parent or guardian or that have a disability or limitation that requires special assistance.

The hunt will take place on the Recreation fields located on Magnolia Boulevard and the bay next to the Long Beach Ice Arena. Prizes given in each hunt. Children will hunt for eggs according to the following age group categories:

3 & Under Group 1 - 9:00 am
3 & Under Group 2 - 9:30 am
3 & Under Group 3 - 10:00 am
Special Needs Group - 10:00 am (One parent/guardian may enter the egg hunt area with one 3 & under or special needs child)
4 Year Old Group - 10:30 am
4 & 5 Year Old Group - 11:00 am
5 Year Olds Group - 11:30 am
6 & 7 year Olds Group - 12:00 pm (No parent/guardian may enter the egg hunt area for children ages 4 through 7)

You will receive a wrist band at the time of registration.  Please do not lose your wrist band and make sure you have it with you the day of the event. Please arrive fifteen minutes prior to your hunt time to allow for parking and check in. Children 3 and under and those with special needs may be accompanied by one adult. Older siblings must wait until it is their time slot.  If you will be on the field with your 3-year-old and under, it is recommended that you make arrangements with a family member or friend to stay with your older child while they wait for their age group.  Children will line up outside the field gates at their designated time. You are welcome to bring your own basket for collecting; bags for collecting eggs will also be provided.
